Manchester United are not a football club.
Today’s game was one of those that after the final whistle all I could think of was how the fuck would anyone support this team.
In today’s match, we had an early and unfair sent off. Shelvey and Evans went for the ball; while Jonjo had one foot aiming for it, Evans had his two feet off the ground. Normally, you would expect both players to get booked. But that’s not what happens when you’re playing Man U. Shelvey was obviously shown the red card while Evans put up a painful expression, getting nothing. But even with only 10 men, Liverpool were still far superior. I remember of my mates tweeting that the ref would probably award Man United a penalty to help them. Well, later on, that’s what happened. After a magnificent goal by our Stevie - unfortunately followed by a great equaliser from Rafael, Man U got what they wanted. The referee Mark Halsey awarded them a penalty out of literally NOWHERE. Robin Van Persie’s shot was strong, and even though Pepe’s hand got to touch the ball, it got in. That was it. The game was over.
I am not known for being understanding. Not really. But I swear to God, I tried. I tried to see coincidences, I tried to say “that’s football, shit happens sometimes”, I tried to think it was natural. But I can’t. And I know I’m not alone. Anyone can see that there is something wrong. There is something that happens out of the football pitch. And I don’t need to tell you what is it. If you’ve read this far, you know what I’m talking about. If you’re a fan of EPL, you know what I’m talking about. Even if you don’t know shit about football rules, but have watched a few United matches - you know it.
I genuinely cannot understand why would someone associate their names to a club like this. As a player, as part of the staff, but especially as a fan. The idea of supporting a club who is clearly involved in corruption is completely unthinkable to me. I would feel ashamed for supporting Man United. I would feel filthy.
Manchester United are NOT a football club.
Manchester United are essentially anti-football.
They have no class, they disrespect, they don’t value the good game and fair play.
Therefore, don’t be shocked when you see so many people expressing their hate for this club. They deserve every little piece of hate they get. They call for it.
Lastly, as Stevie says: “I want United to die.”
